Cologne, August 1, 2024. In cooperation with four other associations (Bundesindustrieverband Technische Gebäudeausrüstung e.V., Deutscher Verein des Gas- und Wasserfaches e.V., Deutscher Verband für Facility Management e.V., Zentralverband Sanitär Heizung Klima), we provide information on legal regulations, technical requirements and supplementary recommendations for drinking water installations in buildings.
In recent years, the legal framework conditions that manufacturers, sanitary engineers, plumbers and building operators have to take into account have expanded considerably. At the same time, the technical regulations for the planning, installation and operation of drinking water installations in buildings have also evolved at both national and European level.
The involved associations are responding to these increasingly complex legal and technical requirements by providing information that enables all parties involved to fulfil the minimum requirements formulated in the Drinking Water Ordinance. The generally recognised rules of technology and the application of standards, regulations and other information for drinking water installations in buildings are taken into account.
